It can be difficult to remember that you will be okay, even if things aren't great right now. I painted this as part of my meditation practice to really drive that point into my lizard brain. For those of you familiar with psycho-babble, the "lizard brain" is that reactionary and survival based part of us humans that tends to take over when we get emotional or complacent with our lives.
I strive to live a life of mindfulness, staying conscious of how I not only effect others, but how I effect myself. This painting illustrates the resilience we have, if only we apply our conscious minds. The strength we need is inside. You have survived up until this point. You can be okay, too.
